Messy Church

Create an opportunity to relax, have fun, be creative and reconnect with yourself and your family.

Join our monthly MESSY CHURCH journey to discover and deepen your spirituality.

Messy Church is a new concept in South Africa and is tailored especially for families (both parents and children) who feel the stresses and pressures of living in Johannesburg. It is an exciting new once-monthly programme at All Saints Church, Fourways Gardens - to reach out to families and to provide an opportunity for conversation and community building – through crafts and activities, worship and a shared meal. It recognizes that our spiritual journey is indeed messy. We acknowledge that the formal Sunday services may be too inconvenient and formal for many people. So, we aim to provide fun and creative activities, and opportunities for fellowship and learning – where it is easy to invite a friend to join in the fun and receive God’s love, and so we can minister to a wider circle than the regular church-goers.

“Messy Church gets the message of God across in a fun and engaging way for the children ie it removes a bit of the “boring perception” of the Church. Messy Church also allows children and families to get together and form friendships and bonds with people from diverse cultures within the Church.” Anne, mother of Devin (age 5)

We meet on the second Sunday of every month, from 3 – 5pm. You are welcome to come with your family and deepen your spirituality as you embark on your messy trail.
