More than ever before, people need a counterweight to the massive cultural shifts that modern societies are now experiencing. Children's Church (Sunday School) is so necessary for the following reasons:
- helps children respect, appreciate and utilize the Bible,
- teaches children how to navigate the Bible,
- gives kids a chance to ask questions,
- develops a community of believers,
- plants spiritual seeds
We aim to provide the children with a firm knowledge of stories from both the New and Old Testaments, whilst at the same time observing the seasons of the Anglican Church and the readings as set out in the lectionary.
Our dedicated team of teachers have the following classes:
JAM Kids - ages 3 to 7
Disciples - ages 8 to 12
Youth - ages 13 and up
We meet every Sunday during the 9am service during the school terms. We utilise the church building, as well as classrooms in the Pre-Primary school.
After we open in prayer and song, we split up into the different age groups. In class the children have a bible story, discussion, then relevant craft and activities - all age appropriate. During the service we join the congregation for the communion or blessing, after which the children return to the class until the end of the service.
Bringing your children to Children's church is a small investment, with a big reward!
We have so much fun in Children's Church - and everyone is welcome. Please contact Anne for any queries on firstname.lastname@example.org
